Executive Summary

NTT DATA challenged our team to envision how artificial intelligence could enhance large-scale conference experiences while showcasing the company's growing AI capabilities. Working within an aggressive eight-week timeline, I helped transform loosely defined stakeholder ideas into a cohesive product strategy, designing an AI-powered experience that supported attendees before, during, and after the event. Rather than simply designing interfaces, we established a scalable framework for integrating AI into enterprise experiences, balancing innovation with practical implementation.

challenge

The project began with broad feature requests and no defined product direction. Success depended on aligning stakeholders around a shared vision, identifying where AI would genuinely improve the attendee experience, and designing features that engineering could realistically implement within a compressed delivery schedule.

strategic decision

Instead of approaching AI as a collection of standalone features, I helped organize the experience around the attendee journey, identifying moments where artificial intelligence could reduce friction, improve discovery, and create more meaningful interactions. Working closely with engineering and business stakeholders, I facilitated design workshops, defined product priorities, and translated emerging AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences. Every feature was evaluated against one guiding principle: AI should augment human decision-making—not replace it. This philosophy influenced the product's interaction patterns, feature prioritization, and long-term design framework.
