Enterprise Design System & Platform Modernization
Hilco Global
Lead UX Consultant
Unified a fragmented enterprise ecosystem by establishing a scalable design system and modern UX foundation across internal and client-facing platforms.

Executive Summary

challenge
The organization had accumulated years of UX debt across multiple business units. Each product had evolved independently, resulting in inconsistent interaction patterns, duplicated functionality, and inefficient development workflows. Rather than redesigning individual interfaces, the challenge was creating a common design language capable of supporting long-term product growth without disrupting existing business operations.
strategic decision
Instead of approaching each product independently, I focused on the ecosystem as a whole. Through stakeholder workshops, user interviews, and workflow analysis, I identified recurring interaction patterns shared across finance, operations, marketing, and executive reporting tools. These findings informed the creation of a reusable design system and component library that standardized navigation, interaction behaviors, and visual hierarchy while remaining flexible enough to support diverse enterprise workflows. Working closely with engineering, I ensured the system could be efficiently implemented using Bootstrap while establishing a sustainable foundation for future digital initiatives.
